This passage and others like it are among the most powerful throughout scripture and always stands out to me. It shows the great sovereignty and eternal existence of our Creator. It’s an example of how clear God made it that there are no other gods besides Him. He revealed Himself to Israel and taught them His ways. He chose them! We can give thanks to God that He has brought salvation to all the nations through this land!

Throughout the book of Isaiah, we learn about Israel’s faults, their turning away from God over and over, and God’s punishment of them, but sprinkled throughout the book are amazing words of hope, encouragement, and love from a God who showed them that He would never leave them.

This hope is open today to all who turn away from this world and turn to the risen Savior, Christ Jesus, both Jew and Gentile!

For those who place their faith in Christ Jesus during the 7 year tribulation that's coming, physical death will be an assurance for them. Revelation teaches us those who resist the mark of the beast and trust in Jesus will lose their heads. These are men and women who will speak up for their faith despite the knowledge of being persecuted and put to death.

How much MORE should we as followers of Jesus speak up about our faith, about the Word of God, and about salvation through Christ alone in these times of peace, where we aren't persecuted physically, where we have the freedom of speech?

I encourage my brothers and sisters here who are quiet about their faith to find a way to share the gospel, the good news, that leads to salvation. Again I'll say this, despite other so-called churches saying otherwise: Salvation is not found through Islam. It's not found in Mormonism, Judaism, Buddhism, Universalism, or ANY OTHER worldly, man made-religion. Salvation is found in Christ alone, and the only way we can have peace with God is by placing our faith in Him, believing in our hearts and confessing with our mouths that Jesus Christ is Lord and that God raised Him from the dead, and by repenting of our sins!

This is the one life we get to follow the King of kings and, rather than being ashamed of the gospel, boldly proclaiming our faith.
