We're thrilled to announce that our founder and managing partner, Matt Lockaby, has been named to the 2026 Kentucky Super Lawyers Top 50 list!

Only 5% of lawyers in Kentucky are named to the Super Lawyers list, and the Top 50 list comprises those with the absolute highest point totals during the rigorous selection process that includes nominations and evaluations by other lawyers.

Congrats, Matt!

A new Senate proposal would require certain employers to regularly report how AI is influencing hiring, layoffs, unfilled positions, and retraining. Public companies would be covered first, with the potential for additional employers to be added through future rulemaking. The Department of Labor would publish these reports to provide ongoing insight into AI's impact on the workforce.

While early in the legislative process, the bill signals increasing federal attention on employer use of AI. Now is a good time for organizations to review how AI factors into job functions and staffing decisions.

We recently secured nearly $900,000 in settlement funds on behalf of the United States in a whistleblower (qui tam) action. The case involved allegations that a business made false statements to obtain loans through the Paycheck Protection Program, a federal relief initiative for small businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The federal government continues to prioritize enforcement efforts related to PPP and other CARES Act programs, and whistleblower actions remain one of the most effective tools for uncovering fraud.

Under the False Claims Act, private citizens can bring claims on the government’s behalf when they have evidence of fraud. If you have information about potential misconduct involving federal funds, our team can help you understand your options.
