Are there any single people in the neighborhood who would like to split food? When my son is not home, I find I waste food 😔. I can’t eat a full bag of mandarins, apples, a whole loaf of bread etc. I even end up wasting milk and eggs at times. I’m a vegetarian and only use the previous items for baking. Sometimes I try a new snack but don’t like it. With (or even prior) to prices today, I REALLY don’t want to waste food. I volunteer at Mission Lexington, but of course opened foods are not able to be donated. I figure other single people face the same problem. Meals/foods aren’t readily available for one person households who don’t want to live on microwaveables. I figure if I meet someone local in the neighborhood and they get to know me and trust me, splitting food wouldn’t be such a big deal. I know people can (and should be) wary of contaminated foods. This may be a good way to meet some neighbors as well 😊. I do try to offer food to family and friends but they usually don’t want it 🤷‍♀️.
