The man accused of causing life-changing injuries to a Lexington Police officer has been indicted on multiple charges.

31-year-old Naqeeb Mufallah was indicted on seven charges, including first-degree assault of a police officer and being a felon in possession of a handgun.

Officer Kevin Van Wert’s arm had to be amputated after he was thrown into a utility pole during a traffic stop.
