Fitness tip: Be the tortoise 🐢 not the hare 🐇
from both a physiological and a mental standpoint, it is far better to start a little bit slower and ramp up your effort over time.
Going too hard, too soon might make you feel like you work hard, but remember that how much you sweat isn’t necessarily a sign of an effective workout.
Instead, opt for a pace you can sustain for the entire tea of your workout. You will get fitter, and not just tired😊

We’re not saying you can’t ever have a drink again. We just want you to be informed. 👇🏼
🍷When you consume alcohol your body stops burning fat and immediately goes into alcohol burning mode. Until your body has completely processed the alcohol, which can take up to 10 hours, it is not burning fat.
This means that alcohol is actually slowing down your progress and the hard work you are putting in at the gym and in the kitchen. 🍽
🍻By having a couple drinks a night or even weekly, you are ultimately slowing down your fat loss. Most alcoholic drinks are carb heavy, which starts insulin production and leads to increased fat storage.
🛌 Alcohol also has a huge impact on your sleep cycles which is essential for fat loss. Alcohol creates an imbalance between slow-wave sleep and REM sleep, which decreases overall sleep quality and increases sleep disruption.

So how do you maximize your training?
Step 1️⃣ Unwind and Unplug: Now is the time to stop thinking about what was stressing you out earlier in the day or yesterday. It’s time to unwind, clear your mind, and get ready to focus on your upcoming workout.
Step 2️⃣ Set your Intent and Focus: Think what short-term goals will help propel your long-term goals.
Step 3️⃣ Train, Enjoy, Socialize: When you are in the gym, enjoy the experience of training with a supportive community and remember how exercise enhances your life!
Step 4️⃣ Cooldown, Reflect, Input Results: The cooldown is a moment of reflection. Taking 5-10 minutes to think about what you learned during your training, what challenges you faced, and how each element affected you is a great way to create alignment between your training, your goals, and your life.
Step 5️⃣ Fuel, Rest, Recover: Recovery is king when it comes to results. If you’re not recovering, it doesn’t matter what you do in the gym.
