Founded in 2010 by Adam Sewell, a graduate of Catawba College, who has spent over 12 years in the Information Technology industry. Hog City Tavern
Update! Our new sewer line is almost complete and we're making good progress! Renovations are well underway.
And as always, when you're doing renovations in an old building, there is always a chance to find some history. For example, when digging the trench for our new sewer line we found an old horse shoe. Did you know that 2nd Ave about where Sophie's Cork & Ale is located, and where we will be, used to have a blacksmith and livery as old as 1896? There was an iron tower windmill too. In 1913, a new building was constructed beside those, which was the first Lexington Fire Department No 1. It had one driver, one horse and one truck. You have to know where you came from to know where you're going. Let's all drink to the future.
