We’re excited to announce that we have earned a Bronze Medal in the largest competition in the Americas for our historical beer Svordfiske Öl Braggot! This beer is made with barley and honey. We sourced the honey with our friends at Iron Sword Meadery. We used more than 150 pounds of honey. After fermentation, we added bochet to add complexity to the flavor profile, and then we finished it with local Tupelo honey which adds a burst of sweet citrus and combines with the toffee and caramel of the base beer, an English Red Ale, to create a palate that starts with a burst of citrus which is rounded with the malt sweetness from caramel and toffee and bochet honey, and finishes with a hint of sweet citrus.
