Multiple waves of storms will pose a risk for flash flooding beginning Thursday night through Saturday evening. A Flood Watch will be active for this time frame with area wide totals through Saturday ranging 2-4" with locally higher amounts in slow-moving, repeated rounds of storms. Chances of seeing more than 2" inches is highest across south-central Kentucky and areas of southern Indiana. Significant flash flooding is possible in localized areas so have multiple ways to receive flood alerts this weekend. Additionally, the initial round of storms Thursday night poses a severe weather risk for damaging gusty winds west of I-65.
