🥵🐾🐾 As the temps rise, remember that our furry friends feel the heat too! ☀️🐾
Hot pavement can burn paws, overheating can happen quickly, and even short outdoor play sessions may become dangerous in extreme heat. Always provide plenty of fresh water, shade, and cool-down breaks.
🌡️Early morning or evening walks are safest, and if the pavement feels too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws.
At The Pawsitive Pad, your pets’ comfort and safety always come first. 💛🐶
Here are some pictures of suggestions to help keep your pup cool this spring and summer!

Apparently this is how AI sees me when I describe myself as a pet sitter who is also a Christian Mental Health coach and avid writer. 😇🐾🐾☺️
Not wrong! Most days you can find me with a lap full of animals, a cup of coffee and a book and pen in close proximity. 🤭 (maybe need a few more wrinkles?😉)

🥶Cold weather reminder from The Pawsitive Pad, a pet sitter who cares 🐾🐾❤️
I know some pets are used to being outside—or “inside/outside”, but this cold is extreme, and it’s too hard on them. If you’re able, please bring outdoor pets inside during this weather.
Animals feel the cold just like we do, and frostbite and hypothermia can happen quickly. Just because they have fur doesn’t mean they are fully protected from the cold.
🥶Did you know?
Dogs and cats have higher normal body temperatures than humans, which means they actually lose heat faster in extreme cold—making warm, indoor shelter even more important.
A warm indoor space, even a small one, is far safer than being left outside right now.
Thank you for doing the right thing for your pets during these extra cold temperatures. They trust us to protect them. 💙🐾🐾
📷Photos are of my sweet Britty June who you may know is our indoor/outdoor kitty. She’s been comfortably warm and safe indoors the past several days, and likely will be for a few weeks until it warms up a bit!
