Triple your donation today only!
Exciting Opportunity to Triple Your Giving Tuesday Donation [AND fight Vet Malpractice]! This year we have a donor, who wishes to remain anonymous, who has generously offered to triple the value of any donations received today for Joey’s Legacy up to $5,000. Let’s make that happen and leave no money on the table. Joey’s Legacy does so much with so little and we could really use the help.
A $10 donation could run our website for a month, $20 our phone line, etc. And we have an exciting new program about to launch that is really going to help a lot of victims (stay tuned for more info soon!). Don’t forget we are a 501(c)3 nonprofit with no paid staff. All donations go directly to the cause of holding bad actors accountable.
Please share to get the word out. Every little bit helps and it gets tripled today only.

This is what we are all about:
1. We are not attorneys
2. We are not veterinarians
3. We assist people who have had bad experiences with their veterinarians, specifically either lost a pet or their pet sustained a permanent injury.
4. We recognize that the vast majority of American veterinarians are caring, compassionate professionals that entered the profession because of a profound love for animals.
5. We recognize that, because of that, the majority of pet parents will never have a tragic experience with a veterinarian.
6. We recognize that veterinarians, like everyone else in this world, are humans that may, on a rare occasion, commit an act of negligence. This subset of the entire profession contains ethical professionals that have enough integrity to admit when things went wrong, take responsibility and do their best to comfort the bereaved pet parent in the aftermath. We laud these veterinarians, who understand that truth and transparency goes a long way. These are also the veterinarians that, because of their honorable conduct, will likely never be sued.
7. An even smaller subset of the entire profession is unprincipled, unethical and amoral. They refuse to accept responsibility when things go wrong, even when faced with compelling proof. They don't have the good character to confront the grieving family so they have their staff do their dirty work. They ignore the family's phone calls and emails, and refuse to offer any refund of vet costs. These are the veterinarians that we receive calls about, in almost 100% of the cases. Pet parents tell us that if they were treated with dignity and respect, they would not consider taking legal action. These reprobate vets are their own worst enemies. Their best chance of avoiding legal action is to come forward and take accountability.
8. If you think animal law attorneys are "ambulance chasers", you clearly demonstrate how uninformed you are. Very few attorneys are interested in suing veterinarians because, as you know, animals are considered property in almost all states.
