I wondered I share this video I took of the start of this drag car that I'm building.. This Will be the quickest / fastest car I've ever built.. I'm hoping to do 8 seconds or faster in the quarter mile once I learn how to drag race better πŸ™‚
I have a spare shell for my E30 drift car, I'm building a four-link drag car using a Ford 9-in rear end, a turbo 400 hydromatic with a reverse pattern trans brake valve body, some 4l80 parts and everything else from FTI...
The engine will be a rod and piston 5.3 with a mild camshaft and twin 7875 turbos... I should be able to push the engine till I lift the heads
I wish everyone the bestπŸ™‚ I'll put up a link to the video and a couple of other pictures I have https://youtu.be/7GBrumvJaN8?si=lpXvHDh0UC3cgcrz

I have this beautiful one owner 95 Dodge Dakota here... The customer is having me install a gen 3 hemi into it with a Holley Terminator xmax... We will be running it drive by wire and one of the challenges with that is that the transmission has a throttle valve cable that needs to be pulled by the throttle linkage... I was able to extend the shaft on the drive-by wire throttle and make a arm and a cable stay to attach the cable... Also between the brake booster and the front differential being directly under the pan, getting the engine height just perfect was difficult and I still had to remove a bit from the oil pan to clear the front differential... There are mounts and other parts available for the two-wheel drive version of this truck but nothing really for the four-wheel drive So of course I've had to fabricate the engine mounts, prototyping them first in 16 gauge...
This customer, like all of my customers has been absolutely amazing to work with... I will try to post some more progress with this job as it comes along πŸ™‚
I hope everybody has an amazing 2025
Jak
