You may have been hearing about online CPR/First Aid training, where you don't ever have to touch a manikin or come to a class. This is NOT ACCEPTABLE to regulators, or OSHA, and does not meet American Heart Association Standards (and really, would you go to a doctor or a massage therapist or hairdresser who had no hands on training? Of course not).

This is what Sudden Cardiac Arrest looks like. Without CPR and the AED being RIGHT THERE, this 17 year old girl would have died. YOU CANNOT WAIT FOR 911 IF SOMEONE IS IN CARDIAC ARREST! They simply die too quickly. It's up to you!

Do you know CPR? Do you have an AED available? A CPR class takes about 1/2 day, or about the time for a round of golf. AEDs are about $1200, or about $50/mo on a commercial lease. Not too long, and not too expensive, for a life saved.

And if you say "well it won't happen to me or my loved ones", do you think these parents expected it to happen to their 17 yearly daughter? She was lucky. Would you or your child be as lucky?

Take a CPR class. And make sure your work, church, favorite store, restaurant and everywhere else you go has an AED. Your life might depend on it!
