I love bears. I spent so many days driving around hoping to see one, even just a glimpse. Now it feels like I find them everywhere. Is it me, or them?
I think I’ve just gotten better at finding the species I care about most. Quieter, more attuned, more present when I’m in their world.

A moment from this day in 2024, during the season when barn owls filled my evenings.
This one drifted between perches, hunting in the warm light, before slipping past me and into the evening air.

Hey guys! Happy Father's Day!

Fun fact: foxes make some of the best dads in the animal kingdom.

While mom stays with the kits, dad spends his days running meals back and forth to feed the whole family.
He’ll even bury extra food around the den so the little ones learn to sniff, search, and hunt on their own.

A last minute trip to McCall led to a sunrise shoot at Upper Payette Lake. The mist drifting above the glassy water felt like the whole lake was breathing.
It was a wonderfully peaceful morning.

Well guys... another year has somehow flown by, and I’m sitting here feeling nothing but gratitude. I’ve met so many wonderful people who’ve taken the time to stop by the gallery, share a conversation, and support what I do. You’re the reason all the long days are worth it.

This past year has been incredibly fulfilling
• Hosting 10 incredible guest artists to share their work
• Welcoming local artists to teach classes in the gallery
• Serving on the committee to keep our downtown Artwalk thriving and even launching a successful Spring Artwalk
• Sneaking away whenever I could to capture new photographs, some of which are my favorite images yet

None of this happens without you. Your support lets me live this dream every single day, and I’m truly grateful.

Here’s to another year of art, community, and good times.

I pulled into one of my barn owl spots after work, hoping to find some around but instead, this beautiful great horned owl flew up onto a post. Being one of the most territorial and aggressive owls out there, I knew the barn owls weren’t going to be around.
But I’ll take any owl over none every time.
