HS is frequently mistaken for recurrent boils, ingrown hairs, or infections, which can delay appropriate treatment and disease management. Early recognition and diagnosis are important, as HS is a chronic inflammatory condition that can significantly impact quality of life.
The sooner patients receive an accurate diagnosis, the sooner they can access treatments and support that may help reduce flares and disease progression.
