In 1953, a group of teachers chartered the Northeast Johnson County Teachers’ Credit Union. By 1962, the CU moved from a classroom in the Shawnee Mission School District to a rented office with one manager and two part-time employees. Mainstreet Credit Union partners with the Children’s Miracle Network at KU Med, where members can make a voluntary donation to participate in our Skip-A-Payment program. This last year, we raised $3,500 - bringing our total over the years to just over $325,000!
