Hospitalization can be a frightening and lonely experience for a child. Our Shadow Buddies are designed to be a friend "just like me," allowing children to feel like there is a friend who understands his or her condition. Our buddies are soft and comforting, and each buddy is specifically designed to be a teaching tool, too--many of our buddies assist medical professionals in helping children understand their prognosis and treatment.

💙 Meet our Buddy of the Month: Cleft Lip & Palate Shadow Buddy 💙
This special buddy was designed specifically to reflect the journey of children born with cleft lip and/or cleft palate. From surgeries to healing visits, this buddy helps children see their own experience represented in a gentle, supportive way.
By sharing a visible difference that so many children go through, this Shadow Buddy helps normalize their journey, open conversations, and remind every child that they are strong, beautiful, and never alone.
