Krista attended the Art Institute of Philadelphia and Kelly Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science (now Jefferson University). They began the groundwork for their company in 2007 and officially opened in January of 2009. They have been located in the West Shore Farmer's Market since March of 2016, after outgrowing the office space in their homes.
