Race #7 on the season is officially wrapped up. A solid day for the 98 team, making our 3rd start in the Bill Walker Classic. We were looking for redemption for our rough outing last weekend. We had little issues with our throttle input that was fixed relatively quickly. In the main a kart threw a slider on me and I lifted but the kart didn’t stop fast enough making me hit her right rear. It half spun her out making her lose a few spots. I apologized after the race to clear the waters. I know there was nothing to be done differently, but still that isn’t how I like to race. Other than that it was a pretty uneventful day which are always great to have.

Heat 1A: 5th —> 3rd
Heat 1B: 2nd —> 1st
A Feature: 2nd —> 2nd

We also had a friend of ours join us in our pit, Jace and his dad Matt. Jace raced in junior 1 in my old kart thanks to the Sagmiller team. He did really well for his first time ever in a kart. He wasn’t the slowest kart out in his main he had misfortunes however which set him back a place or two.

Jace Junior 1:
Heat 1: 7th —> 8th
Heat 2: 2nd —> 7th
A Feature: 8th —> 8th

We’ll be back in a couple weeks on the 12th for the Kaden Rocha memorial. Fly high man .

Race #6 from Kings Kart Club in Lemoore is complete. Pretty disappointed in the finish, but it could’ve been worse. Just wasn’t quite meant to be tonight. Had a really fast kart one of if not the fastest on track. In the main late in the running me and second place got together spinning me out. We continued and were stuck together like glue. We could not get away from each other, destroying my kart and his. Thankfully we have a race next weekend and can make up for all of this. I’ve got to clean up my act so I can get a good reputation again.

Qualifying: 2nd of 9
Heat: 1st —> 1st of 4
A Feature: 2nd —> 6th

We’ll be back next Saturday for the 28th in one of my favorite races, the Bill Walker Classic.

Day #2 of the Central Valley Shootout finished up last night. Much more calm night as the kart is more to my liking now. We were already locked into the dash after yesterday’s charge to the front. We did get hot laps before the dash.

Hot laps: 2nd of 4

Went into the dash started 3rd finished 2nd with good distance behind.

Dash: 3rd —> 2nd of 6

Went into the main without many changes. Started 2nd finished 2nd there is still room for improvement. I can still work on the line I’m running and now we have a long break to make more changes to the kart.

A Feature: 2nd —> 2nd of 14

Pretty solid weekend all around, room for improvement.

As always a big thanks to all our sponsors and supporters:
