STUDENT ATHLETES...Just a reminder this year you will NEED an EKG!! Don't wait or you won't be able to play!!

High School student athletes, this one's for you. Starting with the 2026-2027 school year, an EKG screening will be required to participate in athletics. This requirement applies to all incoming 9th-grade student-athletes, as well as any student in grades 10-12 who has never previously participated in an FHSAA-sanctioned sport. The good news? Getting screened is easier than you think. You can schedule one through your primary care provider, visit a Lee Health outpatient center, or attend a community screening event for just $20. And if your student already had an EKG done after August 1, 2024, you're already covered.
