Choosing the PERFECT NAME for your brand can be tricky. At WEAPON, we have created countless names for our client's products and services with the following key points in mind:

1) Choose a name that allows you to tell a story. Sadly we never chose the name Awesome Marketing for our design firm. As we brainstormed ideas, we thought about us as a brand's secret weapon, hence the name WEAPON arose. If a story forms from your name, that can have powerful impact.

2) Choose a name that gives you IDEATION legs. What this means is choose a name that thrills and excites you in your future marketing strategy. A powerful name will begin to get your creative juices flowing and empowers you to do more.

2) Make sure to do your research. From visiting the USPTO website to doing the proper investigation on all social platforms, make sure you understand if your name doesn't have any viable competition. Those competitors will come back to haunt you in a few years as your brand gains attention.

3) In the end, you will infuse your brand with tremendous meaning. Years ago growing up in Silicon Valley, I remember hearing the name Google and chuckled. Over the years, that brand has infused it with great meaning and now it remains a powerful brand that came from nothing.
