Q: How can I justify the high costs and/or lengthy service agreements for solar on my roof?!?
A: Just LOOK at your electric utility's current, monthly costs; and how their rates have skyrocketed over the past few years! According to the US Bureau of Labor - average, utility electricity rates nationwide have increased from 13.5 cents/kWh to $16.7 cents/kWh; almost a 24% increase in 3 1/4 years: https://www.bls.gov/regions/midwest/data/averageenergyprices_selectedareas_table.htm! Equivalent solar electricity charges today on rooftops that receive solid sun exposure (1,100-1,400 sun hrs annually, little-to-no shade) shouldn't exceed 13.5 cents/kWh. This kWh-to-kWh cost disparity - plus the fact your customized system costs absolutely NOTHING to design, install, permit, and connect to the grid (our program even covers all insurance costs, damage protection, maintenance, and monitoring in the state of Florida!) - really makes the decision to go solar (especially in regions that recognize net metering NEM 1.0) a fiscal and economic no-brainer!

High cost:
