Everyone Leeds
06/19/2026
Despite a day of pouring rain, we had a great turnout for this week's Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce luncheon as we welcomed Senator-elect Scott Ortis, who will soon represent Alabama Senate District 15.
Senator-elect Ortis shared his personal journey from learning at an early age the value of hard work to building a successful healthcare business and serving communities across Alabama. He also discussed his priorities for the district, including economic development, workforce readiness, infrastructure improvements, support for small businesses, and public safety.
We appreciate Senator-elect Ortis taking the time to visit with our members and share his vision for the future. We also thank everyone who braved the rainy weather to attend!
Special thanks to student diplomat Colton Moody for his assistance, the ladies of Leeds First Methodist Church for serving the meal, Marano's d'asporto for providing the wonderful meal, Suga Mama's Bakery for providing fabulous desserts, and Leeds First Methodist Church for hosting today's event.
