Alpha Dog Rescue

Hello everybody its Liz. It's with a heavy heart we chose to close our rescue for good.
21yrs later my health I started to decline
physically and emotionally. I was working 16 hours a day for so long but I always took good care of all the dogs, they came first
always. I am so grateful for all of the great people who helped us and the ones who adopted. Going back to the beginning, we estimate that we saved about 350 per year

It is bittersweet and i'm gonna miss it but I have to take care of myself now. There's so many stories to tell that are good and bad
and it was a whirlwind.

Thank you everybody for your support and sometimes complaints and some mean people here and there. I put my whole heart in these sweet babies. I've seen a lot of tragedies like getting dog fights, emaciated dogs. Dogs who couldn't not recover from there trauma as hard as I tried. For the most part, all the dogs were good, but when they're not, it's very sad. I've seen a lot of crazy stuff but that didn't break me.

When I was a child, I got my first dog and she was wonderful. I always knew i was gonna work with animals. My first job was at a clinic in portsmouth

To everybody reading this just no that wasn't doing it for clout, it was my life purpose. I will be working with dogs in a different facet, starting next year. I need to heal. To everybody who adopted it made a great impact for these poor dogs.

I have to say goodbye now. It's bittersweet.

Meet Jake! He is a one year old mini doodle

He weighs about 19 pounds.

He will stick by your side always. He is potty trained and he loves other dogs and he would okay with a cat. He's such a cool dude! He loves life and adventures. He likes to sleep with you in bed with you and you won't get hair on you because he is hypoallergenic
He is neutered and up to date on his vaccines in preventatives.

Whoever gets him, they're gonna be really happy. He's such a good boy

Meet Happy go lucky Bam Bam!

He is about 3 years old and he is absolutely a Social butterfly. He weighs about 65 lbs but he is a He would be a great candidate for doggy daycare. He is good with kids but older kids because he doesn't know how big he is. He is an active dog but also loves to be around his people.

He is a super mutt, the best kind! He is a mixed breathing, and we think part Basset Hound.

He loves everybody he meets. He is super outgoing and very loyal. He is potty trained and loves to play ball.

He is kennel trained but he doesn't need it He would make a great family dog. He is awesome!

He is neutered, up-to-date on all vaccines and preventives

If you're looking for a hiking buddy he is it. After he goes for walks, he will sleep.

Meet Maddie. She is about 2 and a 1/2 years old. She is fully trained including potty breaks this girl is precious to us and whoever gets her would really love her.

She is a mixed breed.
We can tell she had a little trauma before coming to us. She is shy at first
She is totally trained.Ioves to go on walks. So you will need a pretty quiet household.
But once she gets to know you, she will let you to the moon and back.

She's a very easy keeper.
