“My daughter was a late speaker before she joined Head Start. She had a lot of trouble expressing herself, and we were deeply worried about her development.

Since attending Head Start, she has shown real improvement. While she still has some difficulty with speech, the difference is like night and day compared to how she was before. She can now communicate much better, is more confident, and enjoys interacting with others.”

How is our TIP (Therapeutic Interagency Preschool) different from typical preschools?

✨Smaller ratios (4:1) — Kids get more one-on-one attention and support as they build social–emotional skills.

đź’ŞStrong community partnerships such as with HTC Dayton, who provides essentials for our families in need. One family recently said being able to receive the clothing order will help them be able to save money for Christmas!

🚌 Transportation — Children can ride a school bus to TIP, and a teacher also rides along and provides support.

🌱 Extended School Year - Additional summer programming helps maintain therapeutic support, provides consistent routines and supports families

❤ Therapy during the school day — This removes a major barrier for busy families and ensures kids get the help they need right where they are.

These are among the many ways TIP helps children who have experienced trauma build stability, resilience, and readiness for long-term success and well-being đź’™
