The words well and good are often misused. Well is used as an adverb, unless used as an adjective, meaning healthy. Good is an adjective used to describe nouns or pronouns. Example: Brandy is a good cook; The boys had a good time at the park. Marvin did well on the Milestone test; Mom did not feel well yesterday.
The word sword is pronounced "sord". The "w" is silent. Many people make the mistake of pronouncing the w.
The word guidance is often mispronounced. It has only two syllables (guid·ance) , not gui-di-ance.
It means advice or information aimed at resolving a problem or difficulty, especially as given by someone in authority.
