All Elite Barbecue

First Apple BBQ Cookoff since 2019 and I was looking to retain my 5 year undefeated (facts are facts 😂) title reign for 1st place chicken but unexpectedly picked up third place ribs instead.

The fact that the kids asked to put my new and 2019 trophies in their bedrooms feels better than winning the trophies did in the first place. It’s always the little things that humble you when you least expect it.

Time for a Porterhouse!

Tacos are my favorite thing to make with leftovers. Handmade (not by me) corn tortillas, pineapple slaw, cilantro, cotija, and the special ingredient, Humble House Foods Puya & Passila hot sauce with some lime on leftover steak for the Carne Asada. 🌮 🥩

Spun a sweet tea brined, bourbon peach glazed pork loin and some Brussels sprouts. Then made some Brazil cheese bread and teriyaki tempeh for the non meat eater. Texas Highballs in honor of birthday celebrations today.
