MANY THANKS to the OUTSTANDING supporters of the Campaign to Elect Erik Champy! Unfortunately, I was not victorious in this election. I wish Max Page the very best in his new role as the next MTA President.

Another wonderful week! Aside from meeting several supportive MTA members, I learned of two more endorsements (Waltham Educators Association and Whitman-Hanson Education Association)! The MTA election is Saturday, May 21st- please keep those positive thoughts and prayers coming!

The Committee to Elect Erik Champy is EXCITED to announce Janelle Quarles and Rosemary Riley as the Co-Campaign Managers for the 2022 MTA presidential election! Janelle Quarles is the President of the Classified Staff Union at U Mass Boston. Among her many leadership roles, Janelle has served two terms as the MTA At Large Ethnic Minority Director, Chair of the MTA Equal Opportunity Council and as a representative for the Greater Boston Labor Council Executive Board. Rosemary Riley is the Past President of the University Staff Association at U Mass Amherst. Throughout her union activism, Rosemary has served as both the NEA and MTA ESP At Large Representative, Chair of the NEA Women’s Issues Committee and Regional Director representing Higher Education on the MTA Board. These extraordinary leaders look forward to meeting with you and welcome your participation in our campaign!
