‘We are one.’ Diverse Asian collective convenes in Nashville | Baptist Press 09/08/2023

Asian leaders met with national SBC leaders in the SBC building in Nashville, exploring ways to strengthen cooperation and partnership. Leaders of the ERLC, the SBC Executive Committee, the Southern Baptist Foundation, the Southern Baptist Library and Archives and ClearView Baptist Church of Franklin, TN, engaged attendees in dialogue.

Our staff had the great honor of hosting members of the SBC Asian American Collective at last week's Asian Leadership Summit. It was a valuable time of learning about the work of these SBC leaders and hearing what issues are most pressing to the fellowships they represent.

Gabriel and Thomas, along with 11 other students from a World Religions class at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary’s Leavell College, embarked on this Asian mission trip in early July to experience the missionary task firsthand. Most days, the group was out on the streets doing broad seed sowing evangelism.

Strength of globalization reflected in IMB’s partnership with Korean Baptists | Baptist Press 08/24/2023

IMB staff welcomed 12 representatives of the Korea Foreign Mission Board to their home office in Richmond Aug. 22. The visit was an opportunity for Korean leaders to tour the facility and hear more about current operations and advancements at the International Mission Board. Discussion was built around sharing ideas and learning from each other as the partnership between the two mission boards grows.
