Pertinence pays off

Hunter:
Biggest fan: Charlie (Tripp’s dad)
Guide: Jerry Corliss
App service:

Before the hunt started, Jerry located a handful of bulls, and a couple of them were undoubtedly shooters! Day one was a bit of cat and mouse and with little patience. Not long before dark, Tripp and the crew would have a bull inside a gun range Jerry was familiar with. The group all agreed this bull with a giant bottom end would check all the boxes for Tripp’s first bull. Once on the gun, he made short work of the bull and could hang his tag on an excellent NM bull. Great work, guys. We will undoubtedly see more successful pics with this young man in the future.

Tag holders: Scott and Shannon

On the gun: Shannon

Guide: Shane Collard

Shannon and Scott drew public-land rifle elk tags using . They set out with Shane on a backcountry hunt with hopes of locating some big bulls. The group had a few close calls with other bulls before Shannon got his chance. He made his shot count and harvested his first bull. Although Scott could not fill his tag, the hunt was a success. This hunt was a great example of “teamwork makes the dream work!”

Double Up

Hunters: Scott and Shannon

Guide: Shane Collard

Scott and Shannon were able to pull multiple tags in NM using this year. They started out hunting with their guide Shane and his wife Audra for elk in mid October where Shannon was able to kill his first bull elk. The team had some unfinished business together and got back together to chase mule deer. It didn’t take long before they had located some bachelor bucks and were able to get two of them on the ground. Great work guys!
