Happy Happy Columbus Day !!!

I've been ruminating for days on what to post for this holiday; are we allowed to enjoy the day really? or should we be clutching our pearls and/or beating our metaphorical drums against 'oppressor of the day - fill in the blank'???

I & my family have always considered New Mexico our home - being raised in the military we would 'come home' to the ranch each summer when we were in the states. The ranch was nominally closer to Clayton than Springer & Logan (yes, we only had three directions). The big City was Amarillo - three hours away in TX or (gasp) Albuquerque FIVE hours away.

Anyway; people will always be people, we have all seen, been bullied or even been bullies. God is ready to forgive every one of us - "go and sin no more". Having lived all over the world I know how wonderful the United States is (and we should always strive to be better).

I refuse to ever identify as a victim.

MERRY MERRY CHRISTMAS !!!
It is the night before Christmas & I am thinking of what all our family has done this season; prepping tomorrow's Christmas Dinner and of course opening presents with our family & loved ones. I am also thinking about what Jesus has done for me, my family, FastWave.Biz, our employees and their families, all our clients and their families and businesses. We are all connected whether we realize it or not - our client was diagnosed with cancer - an employee's kids all have the stomach flu - two friends each had grandbabies last month.
I also think 'what have I done for Jesus? Was I gracious driving around town today? Was I kind to the person who acted like they 'were having a bad day?' Its usually pretty easy for me to love my wife, daughter and granddaughters - but what about when it isn't? I also have great neighbors - but what about that jerk over there?
Everybody worships something: power, themselves, politics, comfort, various world religions, money; I believe the Jesus of the bible. Christmas - Christ mas - I celebrate the birthday of Jesus Christ - God's son sent to earth, born of a virgin, proved he was the Son of God, taught us all how to live a godly (good) life; then died on a cross as the ultimate sacrifice for our sins. This is the fun and exciting holiday - Jesus's birthday, our saviour came to town over 2000 years ago and the world has never been the same !!
