w hunters could show their love for their sport. A lot of people ask us: “what exactly is a String Stalker?”. That’s a simple answer… It’s you, it’s the bow hunter in you. It's the everyday bow hunter. It’s every fiber of your being. You don’t hunt for glory, sponsorships or accolades from the media. You hunt for you. For the harvest. You spend countless hours and money all for the chance to nest in concealment, bow in hand, while maintaining balance between the overall pursuit and becoming fixated with the peace of your prey's haven. Last I checked you don’t have a team of 10 other people in the stand with you. Oh sure, every String Stalker loves to share some of the amazing hunting adventures they’ve had over the years. Countless hours are spent at the local bar, hunting camps, church or wherever, regaling anyone that will listen to your story. But be honest, is it a 30 second story? Nope, never is. String Stalkers describe every intimate detail about their hunt; the prep during the summer to scout for the right spot, the long, cold, dark walk into the woods in the morning, the wind conditions that day, the sound of those unmistakable steps 50 yards to your east, the deep breath you took before your prize emerged from the oaks. You get where this is going. No great hunting story ever started with "I shot it..." A String Stalker knows it took days, months, years to prepare for this moment. The kill is a 30 second adrenaline rush indescribable to any other human on earth, but it's just that - 30 seconds. But there’s even more to your stories. You tell them about the breathtaking view from your stand as the sun rises over the horizon and brings the woods to life. The sparkle of the frost, the smell of the pines in the crisp fall morning and you tell them about your passion for the pursuit. You feel alive!! We all go after the prey of a lifetime every time we step out the door, but celebrate just the same anytime we harvest an animal. Your forefathers were String Stalkers and you take great pride in carrying on that tradition. Your ancestors walked into the woods with a stick, string and an arrow. They learned the skills passed down from their fathers. You work at those same skills year after year. Your gear may have advanced in technology, but the beginning of every great hunting story starts with the same thing: a stick, a string and an arrow.
