You're looking at more than 51 YEARS OF RECOVERY! We had a milestone celebration Thursday — and we're still glowing from the inspiration. We also were proud to honor recently retired 55th District Court Judge Donald L. Allen Jr. for his work leading one of the most successful sobriety courts in the state. What a great day. We can't wait for our next celebration.

We are thrilled to be named charity partner for ScrapFest 16! We think this is a beautiful match. The artists who recover scrap from Friedland Industries, Inc. turn them into works of beauty, just as people in recovery rebuild the pieces of their lives into inspiring testaments of hope. We're so excited and will have much more to say. But right now, mark your calendars now for July 11 and 12!
We're excited to announce this year's charity partner, Mid-Michigan Recovery Services Inc.! MMRS provides a safe environment for teaching and modeling healthy lifestyles for all who are impacted by substance use disorders.
Being our charity partner means 10% of every sculpture sale this year will go to MMRS.
Here is some information about them, taken directly from their website:
"Mid-Michigan Recovery Services Inc. [MMRS] is committed to inspiring hope by providing a safe environment - teaching and modeling healthy lifestyles for all impacted by substance use disorders. We KNOW recovery is possible.
We know because our organization has been serving the community for over a half century and we have close connections with members of the community in long term recovery who were once clients. In fact, we have hired some of them. Our organization believes in diversity of community and strives to ensure that our staff is diverse and culturally understanding.
We understand that every person is unique. Our philosophy is based on a holistic methodology and evidence-based practices. Each person requires a personalized approach for substance use treatment and recovery. Our commitment is to approach a treatment plan with each individual; tailoring the plan to goals set with each individual for an effective and personal path to overcoming addiction.
Our organization follows the Recovery Oriented Systems of Care [ROSC] model of service as the foundation for all of our programming. ROSC is simply defined as community-network of services and supports that is coordinated to be person-centered building on the strength and resilience of the individual, families and community to achieve improved health, wellness and quality of life in abstinence for those with or at risk of substance use disorders.
In this commitment MMRS serves as an active affiliate of the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Ingham Substance Abuse Coalition, Greater Lansing Homeless Resolution Network and Capital Area Project VOX. We also participate in the Power of We Consortium, Recovery Oriented Systems of Care Work group, Families Against Narcotics, are an active affiliate with Capital Area United Way."
We're so glad to partner with MMRS this year! Make sure to visit their booth at ScrapFest 16 Festival to learn more!

A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who has contributed to our Bring Her Home campaign. You are opening the door to longterm recovery and sobriety for more women — giving them the chance to reunite with family, find housing and employment, and build stable, healthy, productive lives.
By paying down the investment in Women's Safe Harbor, you are upholding the promise that we will always be here when people need us most. WAY TO GO, TEAM!
The mortgage is up for renewal in April, and we have a ways to go toward our goal of $85,751. The story of Women's Safe Harbor speaks volumes about how our community comes together: Read more and donate here: https://www.midmichiganrecoveryservices.org/bring-her-home.html
