Nova, our cat room manager, is going to have to add a new face to our staff cat wall because Reef (now Possum) found his home with them!

Nova has taken care of so many cats passing through our cat room, we're overjoyed Possum is joining their family as the newest addition. Both Nova and their partner Mali are the publishers behind the Star Crossed Tarot Decks we sell here at the cafe (they asked the cards and they said yes, adopt Possum). 💜

Possum joins his new brother Cosmo as another CCC alumni adopted by Nova! ✨

Lilith and Dracula’s pawrents are amazing people who send us updates on their two voids regularly. We knew we had to celebrate hitting our goal of raising $3,000 before 3,000 adoptions at CCC by sharing their story:

My wife and I were fortunate to have two amazing cats Harry and Gus who lived to be 20 and 18 respectively, and when Gus passed away in January 2024 after Harry had passed in 2022, we knew it would take a couple special kitties to fill the void in our hearts. Turns out we were half right, it would take two special voids to fill the hole.

After a little over a month passed we decided to start looking at the cafe cats seriously, and I eventually saw a new arrival named Lillith who looked too cute for words so we decided to book a visit. Upon entering the cat room a gangly boy who was all legs came right up and rubbed against us. I picked him up and he quickly cuddled in and fell asleep. I learned his name was Dracula and we decided then that he would be coming home with us.

I then moved on to finding Lillith, who was shyly sitting in the corner and despite my best efforts she had little interest in me but kept looking past me. It turned out she was smitten with my wife and knew immediately that was her new mom. She gave in and decided to humor me so that we would take her, and that is how Dracula and Lillith chose us. It has been over two years and they bring so much joy to us every day. Dracula grew into his legs and is a very long boy who just wants to be with his people. Lillith stayed tiny and kept her kitten fluff, and just wants to be around her mom.

Every day I am grateful for the hard work of all the staff at the cafe for all they do and for bringing our kitties into our lives. 💜
