We all at times become discouraged, but please join me in realizing that wherever we are, wherever we may go, the Holy Spirit is there to direct, sustain, uphold and cheer!

“At all times and in all places, in all sorrows and in all afflictions, when the outlook seems dark and the future perplexing, and we feel helpless and alone, the Comforter will be sent in answer to the prayer of faith. Circumstances may separate us from every earthly friend; but no circumstance, no distance, can separate us from the heavenly Comforter. Wherever we are, wherever we may go, He is always at our right hand to support, sustain, uphold, and cheer. 669.4
The disciples still failed to understand Christ’s words in their spiritual sense, and again He explained His meaning. By the Spirit, He said, He would manifest Himself to them. “The Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things.” No more will you say, I cannot comprehend. No longer will you see through a glass, darkly. You shall “be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge.” Ephesians 3:18, 19. 670.1”

I choose to hide myself in Christ today as I do not want to possess a gloomy spirit.

This paragraph is so good, it bears a “second-day-in-a-row-post”.

“Blessed are the meek.” The difficulties we have to encounter may be very much lessened by that meekness which hides itself in Christ.

If we possess the humility of our Master, we shall rise above the slights, the rebuffs, the annoyances, to which we are daily exposed, and they will cease to cast a gloom over the spirit. ”
