DOOR International’s mission is to bring God’s Word and reproducing Christian fellowships to the Deaf of the world. Our calling is two-fold: translation and training.

--We help Deaf communities translate the Bible (and other resources) into their sign languages.
--We train and equip Deaf leaders in evangelism, discipleship, and church planting to reach their communities for Christ.

Every movement starts with a single step of obedience. 🤟

In 1983, Vesta Bice founded Reaching Out to Texas Deaf with a simple yet powerful conviction: Deaf people deserve access to the gospel in their heart language.

Swipe through to see how that one act of faithfulness became DOOR International.

This is only the beginning. Stay tuned for Part 2! 🙏

How do Deaf people hear worship?

Worship goes beyond sound.

It’s seen in every sign, felt in every vibration, and experienced through every heart fully present before God.

A calling denied—but not a mission defeated.

In 1983, J.E. Bice was told he couldn’t serve as a Deaf pastor because of his deafness. But what others saw as a limitation, God used to spark something greater. Through his daughter Vesta’s faith and obedience, a vision was born—one that continues to empower Deaf leaders and bring the Gospel to Deaf communities around the world.

What was once a “no” became a movement. 🤟 ✝️
