Lansing, MI, based NHI Commercial is seeking an AIA Accounting/Billing Specialist. This full-time office position works within a commercial construction environment. General tasks will be utilizing Quickbooks software, performing general accounting functions (i.e. payables and receivables). Candidate will be able to timely analyze, sort, process, and maintain accurate information related to multiple projects, and have a good working knowledge of business computer applications (i.e. Microsoft Office applications). Additionally, position will be asked to perform other general office duties, as required (such as filing, word processing, handling mail, answering phones, etc.) This position's applicant will be able to effectively work and communicate with co-workers and customers, while exhibiting professional behavior.

Job Qualifications:

+High School Diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or higher education/training in accounting preferred.

+Experience with Payroll/HR to perform payroll functions, preferred.

+Experience working with a contractor previously, preferred.

+Familiarity with Davis-Bacon Act, preferred.

+Two or more years experience in a general office setting is preferred.

+Well organized individual, with the ability to work alone or within a group.
