Underfunding schools has real impacts.

And, they're underfunded because a handful of ultra-wealthy individuals have avoided paying what they owe in taxes. In fact, teachers in Bay City pay almost DOUBLE the state effective tax rate of the wealthiest households (9.7% versus 5.7%), shortchanging Michigan schools $4 billion.

Instead of cutting the things we need for our children's future, let's make the ultra-wealthy pay what they owe and FUND our children's education properly.
