Today’s Topic of the Day highlights two essential products designed to protect our youngest and most vulnerable passengers, providing first responders with the crucial information they need when every second counts.

Due to the closure of Webster Road until July 4th, our response times to I-69 and the southern part of the township have been impacted. To address this, our department has been actively strategizing internally and coordinating efforts with Mercy Ambulance, the DeWitt Township Fire Department, LSW Emergency Services, and the Meridian Township Fire Department. Here are the steps taken to ensure effective response to EMS and fire service calls:

🚒An emergency vehicle pathway has been established around the construction zone and will be used based on call priority and information relayed from Clinton County, Michigan 911 - Central Dispatch.

🚒For any vehicle accidents or vehicle fires on I-69, an immediate mutual aid request for apparatus and personnel from the DeWitt Township Fire Department and/or LSW Emergency Services will likely be initiated. Both departments remain on our initial alarm for all structure fires throughout the township.

🚒For any structure fires south of the road closure, an immediate mutual aid request for apparatus and personnel from Meridian Township Fire Department will likely be initiated.
