We’re still doing this!

For everyone coming out to Saturday’s July 4th Parade here are some quick reminders:

1: We kick off at 9 a.m. Stake your spot out early! Choose one in the shade.

2. Start hydrating now! Don’t forget to bring something refreshing to drink, preferably something with electrolytes! Some snacks wouldn’t hurt either, just carry your trash home with you.

3. Dress appropriately! Red, white and blue are the colors of the day. Don’t forget a hat (and sunscreen!!)

4. This parade is one of our long standing borough events. Be respectful of your neighbors - stay off their lawns - respect their space, their views and their beliefs!

We’re all in this together! Stay cool!

Our friends at the County have established cooling centers if you need to beat the heat now through the weekend.

As we celebrate 250 years of American history, we’re flipping back the pages of our own history books to honor the occasion.

Starting this week you’ll see a roll-out of a commemorative uniform patch on all of our officers.

Our retro emblem is similar to one worn years ago nearly 40 years ago, adding a a commemorative “America 250” ribbon.

It will be worn on our short sleeved shirts during warm weather.

Our current patch dates back to 1987 - before most of Squad 3 was born.
