On Monday I attended the Borough of Telford Council meeting to celebrate several well-deserved recognitions and milestones for members of the Telford Police Department and community.

Congratulations to Corporal Adams and Officer Miller on their department commendations, Officer Kim on 25 years of service and Brittany Beres as the 2025 Member of the Year. We also celebrated the swearing-in of Patrol Officer Mary-Jean Wicher, the appointment of Corporal Adams as the new Police Chief, and Council member Carolyn Crouthamel's recognition with the PSAB Board of Directors' Honor of Service Award.

It was especially meaningful to present a House Citation to retiring Chief Floyd in recognition of his years of dedicated service and leadership. Thank you to all of our public servants for your commitment to keeping our community safe and strong. Congratulations to each of the honorees!

Yesterday, we passed Pennsylvania’s state budget, and I’m proud to announce that my legislation to provide a Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) to SERS and PSERS retirees left out of previous increases was included in the budget package. This means some of our most senior retired public servants will finally receive a pension payment that reflects the actual costs they face. After 20+ years and a ton of advocacy, I’m proud to say we finally got this done.
