McCaskey Commencement FINAL update: Tonight’s ceremony has been delayed to 8 p.m. Graduates should arrive at 7 p.m. Local forecasters believe most, if not all, rain will be through our area by this time and the risk of severe weather is low. However, we will proceed in light rain if necessary. We thank you for your flexibility as we aim to accommodate all of our families and graduates with the best possible commencement experience. See you tonight!

2:00pm Announcement:
Our 90th Commencement is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29 at Clipper Magazine Stadium in Lancaster. Students report by 5:30 p.m.

Cloud cover is increasing, and a frontal system with rain showers, now near Harrisburg, is forecast to approach Lancaster this afternoon. We will continue monitoring this rain band over the next two hours.

While we strongly desire to hold the graduation as scheduled, we also want to give our graduates, their families, and our guests the best experience possible. For example, our senior musicians are unable to perform on their instruments in rain.

That is why we are still considering whether to proceed in possible rain, delay the program by one hour to 8 p.m., or postpone to our rain date tomorrow, May 30. The forecast for Thursday is for mostly sunny skies, a light breeze and comfortable temperatures in the mid 70s. We will announce a final decision by 4 p.m. via text, email, social media, and the district website.

Students who are taking the Keystone Exams are to report to Phoenix Academy at 7:45am. They are not taking the exams at McCaskey.
The exam schedule is: Literature May 13-14, Algebra May 15-16, and Biology May 20-21.
