"Strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man." — Ephesians 3:16

Not all strength can be seen on the outside.

Some of the greatest victories happen in places no one else can see. The thought you refuse to entertain. The discouragement you refuse to give in to. The prayer you still pray when your heart is tired. The right thing you choose when no one is watching.

Paul prayed that believers would be strengthened "in the inner man" because the outward life needs an inward supply. A person can look composed on the outside and still need God to strengthen the soul within.

So today, don't measure strength only by energy, productivity, or how much you get done. Ask the Lord to strengthen the hidden places.

A heart strengthened by God can stand firm even when the circumstances have not changed.
