This is a disgusting account of the AV Fairgrounds manipulative practices within the Antelope Valley. Here's my remarks to the Editor that were sent Today

"This is highly inappropriate! The event shown in these photos belong to the original Antelope Valley Student Recognition 4.0 Dinner and should be removed immediately from as being associated to the AV Fairgrounds 4.0 Celebration. These photos belong to my organization when we held this event at the AV Fairgrounds. We separated ourselves from this center due to concerns over misappropriation of funds and management. Our organization has set the “actual” 4.0 dinner off to the side due to the pandemic and a lack of venue to support such the large body of deserving students who should qualify for this program. It is extremely disheartening to see the AV Times commit such gross negligence. As stated in my email to the Editor, photos from the AV Fair 4.0 Celebration should only be shared. This celebration was you are highlighting within this article was started by the AV Fair in 2016. It has NOT BEEN RUNNING FOR 19 years!!!
Though my official stance is that students should participate in ALL OPPORTUNITIES possible when it comes to scholarship opportunities it is ALSO my stance that our community members are given a TRUE AND ACCURATE account that led to my organizations separation from the AV Fairgrounds and why the photos displayed in this article should ABSOLUTELY BE REMOVED as they do not depict the AV FAIRGROUNDS actual event and create (as seen above in the statement from “FWB” harm to the ACTUAL- Antelope Valley Student Recognition Program 4.0 Dinner!!!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Aubray McPherson
