Thermal R&D Performance

"I’ve had the Thermal R&D 2. 5” catback exhaust on my 2020 Edge ST for about 2-3 weeks now and I FREAKING LOVE IT! I wish I had installed this 40K miles ago. I could’ve saved a ton of money.

The sound is absolutely perfect. Just the right amount of growl, a lot of low throaty notes, and ZERO DRONE in the cabin!!! You can still hear all of the things you want to hear when you take off or hit the gas going down the road, but when just cruising it fades off into the background! Absolutely no drone going up hills or cruising at any speed!

The day after I had it installed in my wife’s SUV, she & I and two other friends went on a planned road trip. We spent about 14 out of 18 hours riding in the car. Not once did it ever rise to annoying…not even going up hills. The previous performance exhaust would’ve driven us completely nuts by the end of the day! When it would start droning, and it droned OFTEN, the back seat passengers couldn’t hear anything we were saying in the front! Half the time my wife & I in front couldn’t hear each other until we repeated ourselves louder. I LOVE that we can still hear this Thermal R&D exhaust when we want to but we don’t have to sacrifice the performance sound for peace & sanity inside the cabin!

As I said, the Edge is my wife’s car but even I like driving it more now. My car is a 2024 Mustang GT with the Active Exhaust (electronic cutouts) that allow me to switch from 4 different sound levels…. quiet, normal, sport, and track…anytime I want with the press of a button. We also both have Harleys with custom exhausts so you know how much I appreciate our vehicles sounding good! 😎 I couldn’t be any happier! WELL DONE, Thermal R&D!" - David S. (Verified Buyer)
