Client Spotlight for the month of August is the fabulous Lynn Brooks. Here are her answers to our questions!
* What do you love about Pilates?
Pilates keeps me sane, physically organized, posturally aligned, and functionally strong. It is adaptable to all kinds of circumstances and limitations. I've managed to do Pilates even with a cracked rib, a broken hand, tendon pulls, and muscle strains, among other conditions. Pilates has taught me so much about movement in general, and about my own body in particular, as I tune into its practice and effects.
* What does Pilates do for you?
Pilates keeps me mobile, stable, and flexibly vertical. It is the exercise I can take with me through life in all its stages.
* How long have you been doing Pilates?
Hmmm, I'm not entirely sure, but I'm guessing something like 17 or 18 years, on a regular basis. I'd had an occasional class before that time, but it became a regular part of my movement practice in the time range I mentioned.
