Ruff Patches is an all volunteer-run animal welfare and advocacy organization. Ruff Patches is dedicated to keeping pets in homes! We provide food to low income pet owners, provide behavior support and veterinary support when we have the funds. Of course, we also rescue homeless animals and find them new, loving homes. We hold adoptions at Petsmart at 47th St.

Drag Bingo is coming back, and honestly, what better way to celebrate Pride Month than with bingo, drag, prizes, community, and helping rescue animals? 🐾🎉

Join Ruff Patches on **June 9 at 7 PM** at **Hamburger Mary’s WeHo** for a night of fabulous chaos benefiting the animals in our care.

We’ll have bingo, laughs, prizes, and a very exciting auction item: **tickets to the Magic Castle**. Yes, that Magic Castle. So bring your friends, bring your lucky bingo energy, and maybe bring someone who is better at winning things than you are.

Every seat filled helps us raise money for food, litter, cleaning supplies, vet care, medications, and the daily work of keeping rescue animals safe, loved, and cared for.

📅 **June 9**
⏰ **7 PM**
📍 **Hamburger Mary’s WeHo**
📞 **RSVP to Hamburger Mary’s: 323-654-3800**

Call 323-654-3800 to RSVP. Then invite a friend, and help us spread the word. Can’t attend? Sharing the event still helps Ruff Patches reach more animal-loving, bingo-playing, drag-supporting humans. See you there!

When your cat suddenly starts acting weird, it’s easy to think:

❓️“Why are you doing this?”❓️

But cats rarely change behavior for no reason.

A sudden change can be a sign of stress, pain, illness, fear, or conflict. It could be something obvious, like a new pet, a schedule change, construction noise, or a closed-off favorite space. Or it could be something harder to see, like pain, nausea, urinary issues, tension with another animal, or feeling unsafe. 😿

Before assuming your cat is being “bad,” start with a few questions:

What changed?
What hurts?
Why now?

Cats are always communicating. Sometimes we have to listen differently.❤️

⚕️If the change is sudden, severe, or involves food, water, litter box habits, hiding, aggression, or distress, call your veterinarian. Medical issues can show up as behavior changes.

Snuffle mats are not just for dogs.

Watson would like everyone to know that enrichment is very serious work, especially when snacks are involved.

Snuffle mats give cats a chance to sniff, search, forage, and problem-solve, which helps turn treat time into a little brain workout.

Watson is available for adoption and would be happy to personally inspect the snack options in your home.
