Another great weekend of aerobatics competition at the Tracy contest! Huge congratulations to all the International Aerobatic Club Chapter 26 members, friends, and fellow competitors who represented the Southwest region so well.

Big congratulations to Brian for winning Intermediate!
Barrett also had an outstanding contest, taking 3rd place and earning a medal in the Free program, and Conrad brought home a medal as well!

Dave had a very strong performance against a tough field of talented pilots and continues to show impressive flying and progress. Not every great performance ends on the podium, but the level of competition and flying this weekend was outstanding.

We also want to congratulate our friends from International Aerobatic Club Chapter 49:
AJ Wilder — 1st Place Unlimited
Owen Bock — 2nd Place Advanced
Chloe — 1st Place Sportsman

Great flying, great sportsmanship, and another awesome contest weekend with friends old and new. Safe travels home everyone and we’ll see you all at the next contest! ✈️

What a fantastic weekend for our aerobatics community!

We kicked things off with Dave’s presentation, which set the tone for a weekend focused on growth, safety, and sharpening our skills. From there, the box came alive with multiple pilots flying throughout the weekend ; including Will, Mike, Brian, Ramy, and Dave , each bringing great energy and commitment to improving their sequences.

The feedback and critique shared on the ground were incredibly valuable. Having experienced eyes observing from outside the box made all the difference, small corrections, positioning notes, energy management tips, and presentation details that you simply can’t catch from inside the cockpit. That kind of real-time, constructive input is what accelerates progress.

Beyond the flying, the camaraderie was just as strong. Between flights, we spent time socializing, exchanging ideas, and supporting each other’s goals , exactly what makes these practice weekends special.

For those who haven’t joined yet, this is truly a great opportunity: flying in a clearly marked aerobatic box with a dedicated ground observer creates a safe, structured, and highly productive training environment. It’s one of the best ways to build confidence, precision, and contest readiness.

We’re sorry we missed those who couldn’t make it this time , you were definitely missed!

Stay tuned for the next event, more great flying ahead!
