“GODSPEED” was written thanks to a suggestion made by to listen to BMTH - Nex Gen album. I was prolly mid telling Josh that I wanted my rap song to sound like Tiny Moving Parts had bigger chorus energy and 808s , and he was just like - how bout you listen to this album and get back to me 😂😂
Long story short - listen to your prod/engineer if they make a suggestion. I was able to tap into a whole new genre, and a new space to challenge myself as a writer.

I’ve battled with depression, and those types of thoughts most of my life. I’m thankful I stepped into Gods purpose for my life and realized our fight isn’t against flesh and blood. We have a spiritual enemy and he will, a lot of times use our own thoughts against us!

Writing this song made me realize I often harden my emotions, or succumb to my emotions to “get through” hardship. BUT - we now know it is the PERSEVERANCE we have through our SUFFERING that produces character, and character HOPE!
