June is Immigrant Heritage Month, and we think that’s something to celebrate! The Y has a long history of helping immigrants integrate into new communities. In fact, the Y was the first organization in the U.S. to offer English as a Second Language (ESL) classes to immigrants. We believe that communities are strongest when everyone has an opportunity to contribute and work together on a shared vision for the future.

At the Gregory Family YMCA, we’re committed to creating welcoming spaces where individuals of all abilities can stay active, build strength, and find support through community.

Living with arthritis looks different for everyone, but regular movement and exercise can play an important role in improving flexibility, reducing stiffness, easing joint pain, and supporting overall wellness. Programs like aqua aerobics are especially beneficial, offering low-impact exercise that is gentle on the joints while helping improve mobility, balance, and cardiovascular health.

No matter where you are on your wellness journey, the Gregory Family YMCA is here to encourage, support, and help you move in ways that work best for you.

Join us this month in raising awareness, promoting healthy living, and supporting those impacted by arthritis. πŸ’™

May is National Physical Fitness & Sports Month β€” the perfect reminder to get moving, prioritize your health, and encourage others to do the same! πŸ’ͺπŸ½πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈβš½

Staying active does more than improve physical fitness β€” it helps reduce stress, supports mental health, lowers the risk of chronic disease, and boosts overall well-being. Every step, workout, game, or walk makes a difference!

At the Y, we’re committed to helping individuals and families build healthier lifestyles through fitness programs, sports, and opportunities for all ages to stay active and connected.

Did you know children and teens need at least 60 minutes of physical activity every day? The Y provides a safe and supportive space where youth can stay active while developing leadership skills, confidence, time management, and lasting friendships.

Join us this May as we move toward healthier minds, healthier bodies, and a stronger community together!
