William Brit Hyman, known to many as Will, passed away on July 4, 2026, in Rock Hill, South Carolina, at the age of 54.

Will was born on Thursday, November 18, 1971, in Bessemer City, North Carolina, to the late Brit and Dianne (Wooten) Hyman. Will has always lived a life marked by kindness, humor, and devotion to the people he loved. He earned a bachelor’s degree and built a career in sales, where he was known for his ability to connect with people through his natural gift for conversation. His work reflected the same qualities that defined his life outside of work, including sincerity, patience, and a genuine interest in others. He was respected for the way he conducted himself and for the ease with which he made others feel valued. Will found joy in the simple things that made life memorable. He was an avid NASCAR fan, especially his favorite driver, Kyle Busch. Halloween was his favorite holiday, especially anything involving his favorite horror character, Michael Myers. He also had a favorite color, purple, which suited his personality and added a touch of individuality to the way he expressed himself. However, anyone who knew him knew the man loved hamburgers, but was extremely picky about them. They had to be cooked just right, and he had a system for how the condiments and extras had to be placed for the best taste. These interests were part of what made him unique and gave those around him more reasons to smile when they thought of him.

Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Dylan Pflughaupt, Chris Heath and his wife Destiny, Mark Dutcher, and Cory Hill; beloved grandchildren, Marlee Tyler, Bentley Adams, and Carson Heath. His family was a source of pride and joy for him, and he cherished the time he spent with them. The bonds he shared with his children and grandchildren were deeply meaningful, and his love for them will remain an enduring part of his memory.

A chapel funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at A Simple Service Burial & Cremation (201 N. Catawba St., Lancaster, SC 29720) with Pastor Ron Roddy officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3:00 – 3:45 pm.
